The Movin’ Shoes Frosty 5K Run/Walk starts and finishes right on the Capitol Square under the glow of the beautiful Wisconsin State Capitol Building. The race features an interesting course that will allow you to see famous Madison landmarks such as State Street, the Overture Center for the Arts, and UW’s Kohl Center. The final approach to the finish line will be inspirational as you gaze up and see the snow-covered Capitol dome.
The Frosty 5K features chip timing, a back-up timing system with video cameras, great prizes for overall and age group winners, and – of course – hot chocolate and cookies for all race participants. The start/finish line and the course will have a variety of winter activity to keep everyone entertained. So circle the date – Saturday, February 18, 2012 – and keep enjoying outdoor winter sports!
All proceeds from the event will support the Fit City Kids program. Founded by the Madison Winter Festival directors, Fit City Kids provides opportunities for area children to participate in outdoor winter activities.

Deadline for Online/Paper Registration is February 16. Race day on-site registration, BIB and T-Shirt pick-up will be at the Warming Tent near the start/finish line by the Madison Concourse Hotel 9:00 am - 10:45 am.
NOTE: T-shirt guaranteed to all pre-registered participants who register by February 12. If registering on-site, please make sure to provide your mailing address, - we'll mail the shirts in the first two weeks after the event.
Race Bag Pick Up
Bag pick up will be at Movin' Shoes (528 South Park Street, Madison)
10 am - 8 pm, Monday-Wednesday, February 13-15, and available to everyone registered prior or on February 12th by 8 pm.
Timing Chip Pick Up
Timing chips must be picked up on race day at the Warming Tent near the start/finish line by the Madison Concourse Hotel.

14 or under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+
Awarded top 3 men and top 3 women finishers overall and man and woman winner per age category.
Participant Perks:
All pre-registered runners and walkers will receive a long sleeve t-shirt and complimentary refreshments at the start and finish.
