There will be over 14 different events including a 5 km running race, a free kids fun run, and a free learn to ski clinic, snowshoe run and a recreational candlelight ski & snowshoe tour. You can even take a run with your dog! Other events include sledding, skijoring, adaptive and open ski opportunities, sledding and ice skating.

Frosty Dog Jog & Walk

This community event established in 2005 promotes outdoor sports, recreation, the arts and maintaining a healthy lifestyle throughout the winter.

Snow Carving, Elver Park

The famed national snow sculpting champs will also be there to show off their amazing skills.

Kids will have a chance to express their athletic and creative talents at the “Sports & Arts” Activity Corner filled with winter games, icy play station, ski demos and s’mores by the bonfire.

Have a snow fort battle, carve a snow pile igloo, play a mini ice golf, try cross-country skiing, do some winter “painting” on the ice canvas or even hand-paint a whole Subaru! It’s a family-friendly, easy-to-play stop.

Rentals of sleds, skates and skis will be available at the park.

The Madison Winter Festival runs through the weekend of February 3-4, 2018 and concludes on Sunday. For more inflation and to register please visit:  www.winter-fest.com
