The Wisconsin High School Nordic Skiing circuit comes to Madison with the Sprint Skate Championships!
Akin to the Cross-Country Cross event that made its debut at the 2016 Lillehammer Youth Olympic Games, the Madison Skate Sprints will feature obstacles to challenge agility along with speed and endurance.
Saturday will feature a Classic 3x1km relay followed by the Freestyle Cross-Country Cross sprints on Sunday. After the races, skiers have a chance to try out OneFoot Miniskis to round out the fun weekend festivities!
Elver Park is located on the west side of Madison and considered as one of the best places to cross country ski in Madison area. The park is home to 5km of lighted trails in addition to a 1-2.5 km manmade snow loop that will be used in the event of low snow conditions.
