UPDATE (Feb. 17) –
The Ice Age Challenge Race is happening. The course will utilize a man-made snow loop of approximately 1km. Madison Winter Festival management has been able to make artificial snow at Elver Park throughout the winter, thereby stockpiling snow with the forethought that natural snow will have melted. The artificial snow will ensure that the events can be held despite unseasonably warm temperatures.
The Ice Age Challenge is coming back! This popular cross-country ski event once held in Spring Green is coming to Elver Park as part of the Madison Winter Festival.
The Ice Age Challenge will include several separate race distances throughout the day. The courses range from flat sections, gently rolling hills to challenging climbs and exciting downhills.
Don’t feel like racing? Take family and friends and do a Tour. Enjoy skiing on groomed trails and Elver Park at your own pace.
