Festival Is Taking a Hiatus From Organized Activities in 2021

It became clear to the Madison Winter Festival team and our partners that our traditional festival on Elver Park’s grounds in Madison was not feasible with the current pandemic health crisis we are all facing.

The Public Health Madison & Dane County (PHMDC) has been issuing Emergency Orders under which outdoor public gatherings are limited to small groups of people abiding by physical distancing requirements.

Now more than ever, parks and open spaces play a critical role in our mental and physical well-being. Elver Park is Madison’s winter recreation destination!

We encourage people to plan for taking safe trips to enjoy winter activities at the park on their own time: cross-country skiing, sledding, and ice skating.
